We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read this carefully before making a purchase. We also recommend that you carefully read our terms and conditions.

1. Made-to-Measure Goods

Our workbenches are custom-built to your specifications. Returns are not accepted unless the product is faulty or does not meet the specifications you provided.

2. Faulty or Misdescribed Goods

If a product is faulty or not as described, please contact us immediately at hello@probench.co.uk. We will advise you on the process for repair, replacement, or refund.

3. Order Cancellation

Cancellation is only possible within 24 hours of receiving your order acceptance email.
After this period, cancellations cannot be accommodated due to the custom nature of our products.

4. Refunds

Only if a refund is approved will we refund the full amount paid for the goods.
Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase.

Orders & Shipping

How does the order process work?

We've made it as simple as possible, whilst trying to always ensure you get the workbench you want!

All of our products are delivered within 30 days.

Here's how it works:

When you place an order, we will send you an email confirming that we have received it.
We then review each order separately to ensure that it is feasible. We will send you a second email to let you know your order is accepted. At this point we will propose a scheduled delivery date.
You may then liaise with us to change your delivery date if you wish to.

What if I want to cancel my order?

All of our workbenches are build to your custom specification. If you wish to cancel your order you should do so within 24 hours of ordering - at this point we will be able to refund you 100%.

If 24 hours have already passed and you wish to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible using hello@probench.co.uk - if we are able to refund you we will.

Do prices contain VAT?

To keep it simple, all of the prices you see listed across our website include VAT.

How much is shipping?

Orders placed via our online store can only be shipped to mainland United Kingdom. The cost of shipping is included in your order. For orders outside mainland UK please contact us using our form.

Who am I ordering from?

ProBench is a trading name of Simon and Dean Ltd, who own this site. Simon and Dean have been manufacturing steel products in The Midlands for 70+ years. The Simon & Dean Ltd company details that will show on the checkout page, and on your invoice.

Info about General Duty Workbenches

Our General Duty Workbench is fully welded with a 32 x 32mm square tube construction and levelling feet.

Weight bearing capacity is 250kg uniformly distributed load.

Choose from seven different worktops and a list of factory-fitted accessories.

Info about Heavy Duty Workbenches

Our Heavy Duty Workbench is fully welded with a 40 x 40mm square tube construction and levelling feet.

Weight bearing capacity is 500kg uniformly distributed load.

Info about Super Heavy Duty Workbenches

Our Super Heavy Duty Workbench is fully welded with a 50 x 50mm square tube construction and levelling feet.

Weight bearing capacity is 1000kg uniformly distributed load.

The Super Heavy Workbench comes with thicker worktop surfaces as standard for added strength.

What worktop surfaces do you offer?

Choose from the following worktops:

Steel plate - same colour as frame
Galvanised Steel on MDF
MDF board
Hardwood Ply Board with plastic edging
Plastic industrial laminate

Steel plated worktops use 2mm steel on general duty workbenches and 3mm steel on heavy or super heavy duty benches.

All other worktop surfaces are 20mm on general and heavy duty workbenches, and 40mm on super heavy duty workbenches.

Will my bench look exactly like the customiser?

Our customiser is meant to provide an accurate depiction but your workbench may not exactly replicate the proportions or relative dimensions of the images shown.

Customisations

What material are the upper and lower shelf?

As a standard, whatever material you select for your worktop surface will also be applied to your upper and lower shelf (if enabled).

If you wish to have a different material for your upper or lower shelf, please email us with your customisation request on hello@probench.co.uk.

What size is the louvre panel?

The size of the louvre panel depends on the width of workbench you have selected.

For workbenches of width 1200mm and 1500mm, the louvre panel will measure 1200mm wide.

For workbenches of width 1800mmm, the louvre panel will measure 1600mm wide.

What size are vices?

As a standard, we offer vices with 100mm jaw width.

Each vide plate is fitted with reinforcing to the underside of the desk. This vice plate does not obstruct any drawers or tool cabinets directly below the vice.

What size are tool cupboards?

Each tool cupboard is 610 high x 455 x 455mm and comes with a centre shelf.

What size are drawers?

Each drawer is 450 x 450 x 125mm.
